What does your Digital Media involve?

I am a freelance musician and designer and have been in lots of bands and art shows when I was younger but now I am working on a solo album and am aiming towards making my own music videos and greater design works.

What does the term “Digital Media” mean to you?

Digital media! Well what it means to me is endless possibilities of technology the future of entertainment, music, art, gaming and it is the future.

How do you present your Digital Media?

I use digital media to create a vast range of works.

What medium do you work in?

I am a musician and designer and wish to advance in these fields with some of the best in the industry.

How did you learn your skills?

My schooling had a lot to with my skills, as would be with most people, but mainly I pick my skills by study, research and a strong passion for these trades.

Do you see yourself as a hobbyist, emerging or professional?

Do I see myself as hobbyist? Yes and no because I do make money off my skills but I do also just love to do it for fun but am most definatly don’t consider myself a beginner or novice.

Tell us about your path to Digital Media?

I was a traditional artist but changed over to digital media because I could not achieve some of the effects and mediums with traditional methods and wanted to advance with technology. A good artist always knows to embrace change to his or hers advantage.

What are the skills you use in making your work?

Ok well with music I use a few skills composing for structure, engineering to create new synths and sounds. Design you must have a great skill or sense of boldness and seeing a finished product or piece that’s what I bring to design and what I believe a good designer must embrace and adopt as a skill.

Is your digital media something you have been drawn to do, or is it a survival skill?

Yes I was drawn to it from a young age, and no it’s not a survival income. I wish to stay in the know and up to date with magazines, the internet.

Does being familiar with Digital Media and the tools you use give you any edge in your work or life?

Most definitely yes, I would not have as much inspiration and ideas without this.

Where do you see these skills taking you in the future?

Hopefully to a brighter future and better skills in creating greater works and hopefully achieving my dreams in my passion.

What do others think of you and your work?

Well people think I am bit geeky – that’s cool!

I don’t mind being a nerd – we are all nerds in a way. Guys into muscle cars are nerds, body builders are nerds… because we all have a love and passion for what we do – and that’s my definition of a nerd!

Are other forms of technology or software providing you with new opportunities?

Yes a lot of my muso friends are on face book and love chatting to others all other the world on msn about my music.

All I can say is I love and enjoy what I do and wish everybody would embrace music, art, photography, and audio engineering.
