The first film created during the 2011 Film making project for Every Dish Tells A Story was “Looking for Quorn Recipes”. Young AV technologist and media maker, Joel Panther from Mount Gambier, visited Quorn in mid March 2011 and put together this film with help from locals.

The film was screened at the Austral Inn, in Quorn on March 31 2011, to the surprise and delight of people having an evening meal at the pub. “It’s not every day you get to see a film about your home town, when you pop in for a beer” said one guest.

The film kick-starts a season of support to bring film makers to the Flinders Ranges, to collaborate with local people to capture local stories and preserve a bit of history and culture via film making techniques.
