Digital Salon in the Riverland was the first event of 2011. It was held at the Riverland Youth Theatre, Renmark Institute, 54 Ral Ral Avenue Renmark on March 24th 2011. Approximately 30 people attended.
Host: Cindi Drennan presented the event live from RYT.

- Joel Panther (in person, supported to travel to Riverland by Country Arts SA) talking about beginning his career in Digital Media in Mt Gambier
- Susan Rooney-Harding (in person) talking about ABC Open projects
- Italo Vardaro (in person) talking about his profession and business as regional photographer
- Steve Mayhew (in Adelaide via web link) talking about Digital Salon
- Jessica Foster (in Mt Gambier via web link) talking about her experience making multimedia as part of her theatre and performing arts practise
- Andy Killcross (in Port Augusta via web link) talking about making music and promoting it online

SHOWCASE: 6:30 PM to late, March 24th

The DIGITAL SALON showcase event begins at 6:30 PM with presentations of new Digital Media from around SA, and profiles of some regional digital media makers. A multi-projector installation will transform the institute into an exciting display of media art.
Live link ups to other digital media makers will occur during the event, and people who can’t attend in person will be able to view some of the work streaming online. (Although it will not be as dramatic as the live multimedia display itself)

In the afternoon prior to DIGITAL SALON in the Riverland, a workshop and information session will be held from 4:00-5:30 PM for people interested in the skills of audiovisual presentation and projection art. This will be held at the Renmark Institute as well, bookings are required.
